Maddie Mindish
Receptionist
Maddie Mindish brings determination, resilience, and a client-centered approach to her work in the legal field. Originally from the Atlantic City, New Jersey area, she graduated magna cum laude from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Russian and a minor in Criminology, combining a strong academic record with a deep interest in justice systems both in the United States and abroad. She is a first-generation college student, and will be a first-generation law student as well.
Maddie is completing her Paralegal Professional Certificate through Southern Methodist University and will begin pursuing her Juris Doctor at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, William S. Richardson School of Law in August 2026 through a part-time, online program. She is a strong advocate for nontraditional paths in the legal profession and believes that dedication—not circumstance—defines success.
Her legal experience includes internships with the Ohio Correctional Institution Inspection Committee, the Delaware County Public Defender’s Office, and the Legal Aid Society of Columbus’s Tenant Advocacy Project, where she worked on issues ranging from criminal defense to housing justice. She also participated in the OPEEP program, studying alongside incarcerated individuals—an experience that further shaped her commitment to fairness, accountability, and meaningful reform in both criminal and civil law.
Before entering the legal field, Maddie worked in a variety of roles—from a veterinary pharmacy technician and compounding pharmacy assistant to a funeral assistant and university administrative support staff. These experiences gave her a grounded perspective and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
Now based in West Texas, Maddie and her partner, Coye, are proud to call the region home and are building their future there. She embodies a “West Texas Tough” mindset: resilient, hardworking, and unwilling to back down when it matters most. Maddie is known for being outspoken, independent, and steadfast in her pursuit of justice.
Having come from a challenging background herself, Maddie is deeply committed to showing others that their circumstances do not define their future. She believes everyone deserves the opportunity to build a better life—and she is dedicated to helping make that possible.
Outside of her professional work, Maddie enjoys horse racing, cheering on the Denver Broncos, and spending time with Coye and her orange cat, Buddy.
