Shane Austin Chriesman serves as an attorney with Keith & Lorfing. Bringing extensive courtroom experience to the firm, Shane spent years prosecuting major cases as an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) for the United States Attorney’s Office in the Western District of Texas. Operating out of the Midland-Odessa Division, his federal service centered on leading complex government prosecutions, managing federal grand jury investigations, and representing the United States in federal district court.
During his time as an AUSA, Shane handled high-stakes criminal litigation, including joint operations alongside federal and state law enforcement agencies such as the FBI, Texas Department of Public Safety, and Texas Rangers. He frequently served as lead prosecutor on major federal cases involving violent offenses, child exploitation, and multi-agency task force initiatives like Project Safe Childhood. This depth of federal trial experience provides him with a valuable, insider perspective on government investigations, federal procedure, and criminal defense strategies.
Shane earned his Juris Doctor from the Texas Tech University School of Law in May 2012. Licensed to practice law in Texas since 2012, he represents clients across Texas state courts as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas.
